NBA December- Who To Watch: Andre Drummond

           Who To Watch: Andre Drummond
                    (Detroit Pistons, Center)
                     December 2015-2016

When writing about fantasy sports, I find it very easy to explain my thoughts, my ideas, and my plans to win. In fantasy football, you play to win the weekend. In other fantasy sports, like: basketball, baseball, hockey, etc., we have to have a similar mindset. Instead of win the weekend, it's win the entire week. From Sunday to Saturday, games are played everyday. We must be prepared to start, sit, pickup, and drop at any given moment.
In some fantasy apps, players are given the opportunity to simply "auto-start" a lineup. But in fantasy sports, "auto" doesn't mean perfection. You can't trust it. Back in 2008, I attempted my first fantasy basketball league. I was very excited about it. I had only done fantasy football, so this was my first time owning a fantasy basketball team. I can't remember, but something happened that made me miss my online fantasy draft. I put my picks on auto-pick, thinking that the computer would draft me a better team than I could. Well, I was wrong. My first three picks were a free agent, an injured player, and a guy that shot a horrible percentage. Trust me when I say, don't trust the computer.
So far this season, we have seen one of the NBA's best players in Stephen Curry. It's no surprise that Curry is ranked #1 in fantasy basketball. He shoots a high percentage, while scoring 40+ points and racking up double-doubles every night. Finishing out the top 10 in fantasy are: Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, and Blake Griffin. These guys are fantastic players both in real life and in fantasy. It's no shock to anyone that these guys are in the top 10. So let's take a look at some players that have increased their fantasy value. In this month's article, I'll be going over the good, the bad, and ways to win before the end the year of 2015. One of my favorite players in December's Who To Watch is Detroit Pistons' Center, Andre Drummond
In fantasy basketball, points are not the only stay that matters. Rebounds and field goal percentage can increase your points change and gain you the lead. Andre Drummond is a three year veteran. He was drafted in 2012 by the Detroit Pistons in the 1st round, 9th Overall Pick. This season, the 6'11" center is averaging 18.3 points, 16.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He's steadily shooting the ball with a .518 field goal percentage and a .380 free throw percentage. Looking at his stats, Detroit's big man is a must own in all leagues. With his increase in rebounds per game, his put-backs are steadily increasing his shooting percentage, as well.
To go along with Andre Drummond, there are plenty of other players that have surprised us this season. While many players have decreased their fantasy rank this season, I have chosen a few players from all over the top 100 fantasy players this season. Forcing their way to the top of the fantasy board, these guys have proven themselves to be starters in every fantasy lineup.
Kyle Lowry (TOR • PG/SG) - The Toronto Raptors guard has shot a remarkable FG% of .416. Averaging 20.9 points, 6.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds per game, Lowry has created himself as a household name in Toronto and has become their go-to guy game after game. This will increase Lowry's fantasy value, giving him a higher chance to score more fantasy points through shooting percentage, 3-pointers made, and assists. Kyle Lowry is a buy low guard, right now. This means that you could trade to get him at a lower price than you will in a few months.
Kristaps Porzingis (NY • PF/C) - The New York Knicks first round draft pick has lived up to the hype. Leading the Knicks in points and rebounds per game, the 7'3" rookie has led his team into the Eastern Conference top 15. Porzingis is averaging 13.3 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 2.0 BPG, and a shooting percentage of .418. Becoming more dependent down the stretch, I expect the Knicks to trust Kristaps more in the offense. This should increase his fantasy value tremendously, especially towards the end of the season.
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN • C/PF) - Not only one of the top rookies in the league, Karl-Anthony Towns has become one of the top fantasy players, as well. Averaging a double-double each game with a 15.9 PPG and 9.4 RPG. Along with these, he's shooting a high .534 FG% and a high .370 3P%. A great start for any roster. If he continues to play at such a high level, he'll be able to lead any fantasy team to the top.
C.J. McCollum (POR • SG/PG) - Becoming one of Portland's go-to shooters, McCollum is becoming a fantasy super star. With a high, .438 shooting percentage, the Trailblazers' guard has forced his way in the top 15 fantasy players this season. He's averaging 20.4 PPG, 4.3 APG, and 3.7 RPG. When looking at the available players in your league, look for guys like C.J. McCollum to being a boost to your lineup. McCollum is a must start for the remainder of the season.
Nicolas Batum (CHA • SF/SG) - Completely overlooked by many fantasy owners during the draft, Nicolas Batum has become a hot name at the shooting guard position, averaging 16.2 PPG, 5.1 APG, and 6.6 RPG. Charlotte has been leaning on their young star more in their offense, which has completely turned Batum into a rising star. Look for Batum to remain a top 10 shooting guard for the remainder of the season. Owned in only 70% of leagues, search for Batum as a sneaky pickup or as a buy-low trade.
Will Barton (DEN • SG/SF) - One of my favorite players to watch in the NBA, Will Barton is continuing to develop his game. Coming off the bench, Will Barton is in the early running for 6th Man of the Year. He's averaging 15.8 PPG, 2.5 APG, and 6.0 RPG this season. The former Memphis Tiger entered the season only 5% owned. Barton is a still available in most leagues; he'll be a great fantasy player down the stretch, as the Denver Nuggets will continue to feed him the ball.
There are plenty of players that are performing at a high level. It is crucial for you to continue to check percentages and averages of your players and of the players that are available in your league. Now, there are a few players that I have lost faith in. I'm loosing interest in some more than others, but here are a few to keep an eye on entering the heart of the NBA season.
Derrick Rose (CHI • PG) - Owned in over 90% of fantasy leagues; Rose has been held at a high expectation by many fantasy owners this season. Derrick Rose was, at one time, one of the best point guards in fantasy. The current Derrick Rose is too injury prone. Shooting an below average .386 FG% and .246 3P%, Rose is exactly that - below average. As for owning him, I don't want to hold my breath every time he goes up for a layup. Without question, Rose is droppable.
Kyle Korver (ATL • SF/SG) - Known for being a great shooter, Kyle Korver is one of my favorite NBA players, but fantasy is not about playing your favorites. It's about playing to win. Korver is a great shooter; this is why the Hawks lean on Korver as a huge part of their offense. He's only averaging 9.7 PPG, 2.1 APG, and 3.7 RPG. The Hawks making Korver force up bad shots is not good for your fantasy team.
Zach Randolph (MEM • PF) - One of the faces for Memphis' Grit & Grind offense, the power forward has almost been completely lost in their offense. Memphis has transitioned their offensive game plan from feeding Zach and Marc on the block to forcing pick & rolls with Conley and Gasol. Randolph has slowly been decreasing his numbers, and I expect them to continue in that direction. The Grizz know that they need to shoot from the outside more in order to contend in a fast-pace league.
Monta Ellis (IND • PG/SG) - The Indiana Pacers' guard was projected to be in the top 25, coming into the season. He has been shooting poorly with a .434 FG% and a .300 3P%. This has dropped his fantasy value to outside of the top 100. With that said, there are plenty of guards playing at a high level; Monta Ellis is droppable in all leagues.
Kobe Bryant (LAL • SG) - In his final season, Kobe Bryant has shown his fatigue. He remains a great shooter, even though his numbers do not show it. He's been forcing his shots, as seen in his poor shooting performance this season, averaging .343 FG%, .785 FT%, and .256 3P%. Entering into the heart of the NBA season, I expect for Kobe's age, fatigue, and old injuries to hit him hard. Look for him to sit out a few more games, slow down on the court, and shoot a lower percentage. It's not looking good for the fantasy value of Kobe Bryant, which makes him droppable.
Keep in mind that this doesn't mean you need to completely drop one of these players. There are a lot of players performing well this season. We need to continue to monitor these young players as they develop their game. Keep an eye on the teams that are looking to shake up their starting lineup; it could result in less playing time for many of the well-known players, like: Monta Ellis, Josh Smith, Paul Pierce, and Kobe Bryant. Continuing to check your players stats and changes are crucial to surviving fantasy basketball.

NBA November - Who To Watch: Kristaps Porzingis

           Who To Watch: Kristaps Porzingis
        (New York Knicks • Forward/Center)
                 November 2015-2016

When playing fantasy basketball, many players want to get the biggest names and the guys that take all the shots. Well, unlike other fantasy sports, basketball is all about statistics. In fact, many fantasy players that are good at fantasy baseball are good at basketball, too. Like baseball, it's all about percentages.
So many fantasy players get tempted to draft big names guys, like: Kobe Bryant or Derrick Rose, but those guys will ruin your fantasy season right from the start. Guys that I like to pickup in my NBA draft are the more role-specific players. Players, like: Mike Conley, Klay Thompson, and Serge Ibaka, are more likely to win you the season. Don't get me wrong, points are important, but points aren't the only stat that counts in fantasy. Similar to baseball player's batting average, NBA players have free throw percentage, field goal percentage, and 3-point percentage. While many leagues are set up different, you have to keep in mind that your all star player, like a Carmelo Anthony, can be a great basketball player but a horrible fantasy player. Taking 80 shots might sound great, but if he only makes 12 of those shots, his percentage kills you. Sometimes it is best to draft the role players, 3-point specialists, lock-down defensive players, and rebounders.
Personally, I like to grab players that have the higher chance of having a double-double every night. Looking at it this way, guys like LeBron and Kobe are no longer the best in the NBA. I believe the best in NBA fantasy basketball are Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Stephen Curry, Rajon Rondo, and Russell Westbrook. They're hardly hurt; they put up double-doubles consistently; and they shoot for high percentages. Along with these, one of my favorite players for fantasy this year is my Who To Watch for the start of the NBA season in the month of November, New York Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis
Entering into the 2015-2016 NBA season, the New York Knicks are are extremely excited about their rookie forward, Kristaps Porzingis. The 7'3", 240 lb Latvian star was selected by the New York Knicks as the 4th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2015 NBA Draft. Only 20 years old, the young rookie has been praised by the scouts, coaches, and Knicks teammates, especially from Knicks' all star, Carmelo Anthony. Looking like a young Dirk Nowitzki, Porzingis will be a definite sleeper this season; he'll win a ton of championships this season. Looking ahead, Kristaps is a great draft pick for any keeper or dynasty leagues. To me, he looks like the Knicks' franchise player.

A Christmas Story

To My League: The Quest For Tayla

'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through my team
Not a player was healthy
Not even AJ Green

My roster so cluttered
With Qs and with Os
In hopes that the waiver
Would cure all my woes

Yet all of the injuries
Will continue this week
Dreams of TheTayla
Whom I'll have for one last week

My friends in the league
All mopey and sad
Nightmares from the weeks
When I beat them so bad

Then quickly and suddenly
There arose such a sound
That I sprang from my couch
To see what was around

Quickly to my phone
I flew like the Flash
Swiped straight to the right
And discovered at last

A glistening and gleaming
Sweet sound had revealed
I giggled, I laughed
I snorted, I squealed

And there right before me
My fantasy app was providin'
The matchup for last place
Would be Chops vs. Holden

Of course, it doesn't matter
Who I start or I sit
My dreams of winning TheTayla
Was flushed like a shit

I'll piece it together
I'll search and I'll find
A way to win again
For TheTayla will be mine

Next season, I won't loose
I'll remain in the lead
On Alshon! On Lacy!
On Palmer and Snead!

I don't care who I drop
No move will be a mistake
Next year's main goal
Is to beat the shit out of Jake

Now don't get butt-hurt
The only one who'll need lube
He might look like Shaggy
But we know him as Scoob

Now as for Benny and Beej
And the rest of you scum
Get your faces ready
For all of my team's cum

To my friends in the league
I send this with love
Merry Christmas to all
And forget what I said above

Wk 16- Who To Watch: Championship Week

Who To Watch: The Championship Week
Week 16

Similar to last week's article, this week's Who To Watch will be completely different from the previous articles I've posted during this season. We can no longer pickup guys that you think may have potential; it's time to win and win now. In this week's article, I want to go over the games, the matchups, the players I like and dislike, and the star players to sit. You heard me right. You might have to sit one of your top draft picks this week.

Before we get into it, I'd like to explain the importance of this week. Not only is this week the Championship for many fantasy leagues, but it is also one of the last two weeks in the NFL's regular season. For many NFL teams, they know their season is over; for some, they know they're in the playoffs. These teams should scare fantasy owners. Why? Because these teams are simply trying to get through these two weeks injury free for the playoffs or for next season. Some teams may sit their stars for the whole game or play their stars for a limited time. So that star player that you've been riding all year could, potentially, be the reason you fail to bring home the trophy this weekend. So take a look at the matchups, take a look at your players, and ask yourself: will my RB1 play the whole game? Will my defense start all of their playmakers? These are the questions that you must ask yourself before setting your lineup this week.

Wk 15- Who To Watch: Playoffs

            Who To Watch: Playoffs
                       Week 15

PLAYOFFS! Well, it's finally here. In the fantasy season, your playoff lineup is very important. My advice this week is going to be a little different. It's very important to start your studs, sit the guys that have bad matchups, and stream your kickers and D/STs. I know it might sound crazy, but after you read this article, you'll understand. In this week's Who To Watch, my plan is to go over the matchups and explain my thoughts on who to sit and who to start. This can win you the week and ultimately the championship. Also, at the end of the article, I will be writing for those of you that are not in the playoffs and are in Dynasty or deep Keeper Leagues; going over the young players that I love for next year.

*Note: When we're looking at each team in this week's matchups, I'm going to save time and go over the players I'm most interested in. Well, it's a big week; let's get started.

Wide Receivers
Dorial Green-Beckham (TEN • WR) - Great talent in a young offense; he is ending the season as one of Mariota's favorite targets

Ty Montgomery (GB • WR) - In a pass dominant offense, Rodgers like Montgomery a lot which gives him a ton of upside for next year

Jeff Janis (GB • WR) - One of the most physically talented wideouts in Green Bay, he should be in the top 3 of WRs in Green Bay next year; as soon as Rodgers trusts Janis, Janis will be a top 10 fantasy WR

Ted Ginn Jr. (CAR • WR) - Ending the season as Cam Newton's go-to receiver; gives him a ton of upside for 2016

Wk 14- Who To Watch: Richard Rodgers

         Who To Watch: Richard Rodgers
          (Green Bay Packers, Tight End)
                           Week 14

In the game of fantasy football, there is one position that is completely overlooked. While many fantasy players focus on their quarterbacks, running backs, and wideouts, not that many are looking at their tight end. By the end of the week, your tight end will either win or end your matchup each week without you noticing. We all know who the best two TEs are in fantasy - Rob Gronkowski and Greg Olsen. But there are a few other players that put up the same numbers as these two, but they're also completely overlooked. I find that many fantasy owners just throw in a popular named player, like Vernon Davis or Jason Witten, and end up loosing because of their low performance. This week is especially important, and we, as fantasy owners, need to have a big week from everyone on our roster in order to get into the playoffs or win the first round. One tight end that is like to talk about this week is Richard Rodgers, My Who To Watch for Week 14.
Richard Rodgers went to the University of California. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft as the 3rd Round, 98th pick. In his draft profile, Rodgers was most known for his ability to block. One of his flaws was that he had trouble running routes. Last season, Richard Rodgers put up some low numbers in his rookie year; catching 20 balls for 225 yards and only 2 touchdowns. In 2014, Rodgers has not been able to become fantasy relevant; he finished the season with average numbers in targets, yardage, and touchdowns. Completing against Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and DeVonte Adams, the rookie tight end couldn't make a name for himself in the fantasy word.
Entering into the 2015 season, Richard Rodgers was a low ranked tight end during preseason. With the loss of Jordy Nelson, all eyes turned to Cobb and Adams. Although everyone knows the Packers love throwing to their TEs, we didn't see this coming. Richard Rodgers has been targeted more and has had 48 receptions through 13 weeks. Totaling 439 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, Richard Rodgers has become Aaron Rodgers most reliable target. Only owned in 42% of leagues, Richard Rodgers is the best, most available tight end out there. This week against the Dallas Cowboys, Rodgers is priced at $3,900 in Daily Fantasy. Most fantasy players have been starting guys like Olsen, Eifert, or Chandler at tight end, but those who started R. Rodgers at TE won the week. He's going to have another great performance this week.

Who Else To Watch in Week 14

Ryan Fitzpatrick (NYJ • QB) - The Jets have been playing great this season, led by a dominant defense, a great running back, two outstanding wideouts, and a solid QB. Going up against the Tennessee Titans for week 14, Fitzpatrick is a QB on fire. Throwing 36/50 for 390 yards and 2 TDs last week against Giants, FitzMagic put up his 2nd game in a row where he's had over 25 fantasy points. Only 44% owned in standard leagues, Jets' QB is a wonderful streamer. Also, priced at $5,400 in DFS, Ryan Fitzpatrick is a great, ideal start for any Daily lineup.

Jameis Winston (TB • QB) - Tampa Bay has found their franchise player. Winston is another QB that's on fire. Throwing for 18/27, 227 yards, and a touchdown last week, Winston played great against a good defense in Atlanta. This week, Jameis is only 40% owned, which surprises me. He's going up against one of the worst defenses in the league, the New Orleans Saints; this week Tampa Bay will have a fully healthy offense, which gives their No. 1 pick every weapon to use for Sunday. Priced at $5,500, Winston is my start at QB in DFS. I rank him in the top 5 of QBs again this week.

Tyrod Taylor (BUF • QB) - Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills have been playing better as of late. Taylor, coming off a good performance last week, has been dropped in many leagues. He's only 35% owned. I expect Buffalo to rely on the run more in the first half against Philadelphia, which will force the Bills' offense to throw the ball in the second. I believe LeSean McCoy will be a top 3 RB this week, Sammy Watkins will have another unexpectedly high week, and Tyrod Taylor will have another great game with 18+ points. Priced at $5,400, Taylor is a great start in Daily Fantasy.

James White (NE • RB) - Coming off his best performance, White is moving up in the fantasy world. His value was high when Dion Lewis went down with his season-ending injury; but like I said, Belichick will have to learn to trust the halfback before relying on him in a game. It's taken a few weeks, but I believe Brady and Belichick are ready to use the young back. He'll be a great FLEX option in PPR scoring. However, I'm not ready to trust White in standard scoring; he has a very low floor with a sky high upside. If you have better options, take them. 26% owned in standard leagues, White is available for those heading into their playoff weeks. He's priced at $4,100 in DFS for this week's matchup against the Houston Texans.

Darren Sproles (PHI • RB) - As one of my sneakiest adds and starts this week, Darren Sproles is startable in every format. With DeMarco Murray's unhappiness, Sproles will get more snaps. This week against Buffalo, Murray will struggle to make the big plays; especially with the nonexistent receivers in Philly, Sproles will be the man this week. Only 41% owned, he's still available. If you are looking for a sneaky start in DFS or a playoff, hail marry at the FLEX, Darren Sproles is your guy. His price in DFS is $3,500.

C.J. Spiller (NO • RB) - With Mark Ingram shoulder injured, CJ Spiller will be the man! Tim Hightower will get some looks, but it shouldn't matter. Because of Ingram's high number of touches, Spiller will be a high RB2 rest of season. Only 52% owned, go for it. Priced at $3,000 in DFS, Spiller is a great start this week against Tampa Bay.

Ted Ginn Jr. (CAR • WR) - Only 36% owned, getting the most targets from Cam Newton, and the No. 1 WR in Carolina, Ted Ginn Jr. is a must pickup and a WR2 start this week against a struggling Atlanta Falcons. Many experts have been telling us to not trust him, but my question to them is why not? If Cam continues to trust the man, then so do I. Priced at $3,700 in DFS, Ted Ginn is a No. 1 receiver, who's priced as a WR3. A solid start with a ton of upside; I like Ginn this week.

DeVante Parker (MIA • WR) - Coming off a couple of solid performances, Parker has become an above average wideout in fantasy. With Miami's shaky offense, Parker is a boom-or-bust WR3. Only 30% owned, he's still widely available. Entering into a likable matchup this week against the New York Giants, Parker could have a high number of targets. Priced at $4,000 in DFS, the Dolphin wideout could either win you the week or be the reason you lose.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TB • TE) - Finally healthy, ASJ is a top 5 tight end rest of season. With Winston having the hot hand, I look for ASJ to get a few more targets this week against the horrible Saints' defense. Only 36% owned, the tight end is still available. He has a huge opportunity to become Tampa Bay's main RedZone target. Priced at $2,700, ASJ will be one of the favorites at TE this week in Daily Fantasy.

Zach Ertz (PHI • TE) - Becoming one of the most reliable TEs in the league, Ertz is a great start at tight end this week. Roughly 50% owned; if Ertz is there, pick him up. I'd start him over Witten, Ebron, and Clay. He's in my top 5 of tight ends this week. Priced at $2,600 in DFS, Zach Ertz is a great start this week against Buffalo.

Wk 13- Who To Watch: RBs to Stash

                   Who To Watch:
        Jeremy Langford (CHI • RB),
           Tevin Coleman (ATL • RB),
             James Starks (GB • RB),
             Spencer Ware (KC • RB),
           Giovani Bernard (CIN • RB),
                Jay Ajayi (MIA • RB)
                        Week 13

In fantasy football, there are two points in the season that are the most important. One is at the very beginning of the season, the draft, which is obviously important because this is when your team is being strategically created. The second is during the waiver wire of week 13. Why is this so important? Because this is when you prepare your team for the playoffs. Every waiver claim, add/drop, and start/sit are crucial from this point on in the fantasy season. Especially this season, we have seen a ton of star players go down with injuries. With teams leaning on their stars heavily in the next few weeks to ensure wins for their playoff push, it's a strong possibility that more injuries may occur in the coming weeks. With that being said, this article is going to be a little different. Instead of focusing on one particular player, I want to share my thoughts on a few running backs that are vital for some owners, strategic for others, but, most importantly, could save your season and win you the championship.
Jeremy Langford, Chicago Bears, is the most vital pickup for every Matt Forte owner, and he has one of the most important pickups in the later half of this season. The Bears are known to rely on their running back a ton, especially when their QB, Jay Cutler, starts making mistakes. When Forte went down in week 8, the Bears promoted their rookie back to the starting role. In the 3 weeks that Forte was out, Langford had 51 rushes for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns. An incredible performance for such a young player. Even when Forte came back last week against Green Bay, the Bears decided to share the workload, which favored Jeremy Langford in the end. He ran for 48 yards on 12 carries and recorded a touchdown. With Forte's contract ending this year, the Bears could decide to stick with the younger Langford as their star back. This makes him a valuable pickup in all Dynasty and deep Keeper Leagues. Adding to that, he's only 74% owned entering into a favorable matchup against San Francisco this week. Priced at $5,300 in DFS, Langford will still be getting work alongside Matt Forte. Keep an eye on Forte's injuries; if Forte re-injures himself, it would jolt Langford back to a top 3 fantasy RB.
Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons, was a highly talked about running back during the preseason. Drafted roughly between the 4th and the 6th round in most standard, fantasy drafts, Coleman played well in the first 2 weeks of this season. When he was forced to sit out due to an injury, the Falcons turned to his backup DeVanta Freeman. We all know how that went; he became one of the best fantasy running backs in the league. Freeman took control of the Falcons backfield, until he had to sit out week 12 with a concussion. This gave Coleman the opportunity to shine, but he played barely above average. Freeman is now cleared, which doesn't like good for Coleman's playing time. With Freeman's return, many fantasy owners are going to drop Tevin Coleman; it is the perfect time to pick him up, especially if you are a Freeman owner. Going into the final games of the season, the waiver wire is slim. Owners are more focused on their needs for this week, rather than their playoff strategy. With the recent injuries to running backs and the NFL becoming stricter on Concussion Protocols, Freeman has a high probability of being injured again. Instead of battling on the waiver wire during the playoffs, pick up Coleman now while he's cheap and available. He's only owned in 58% of leagues. Staying away from Tevin Coleman in Daily, his price is $4,800.
James Starks, Green Bay Packers, has gone from barely owned to solid handcuff to starter to loosing value once again. It's been an up and down journey for Starks this season; you could say the same about Eddie Lacy, as well. The Packers have always played multiple running backs in years past, but coming into this season, the Packers believed that Eddie Lacy would be their every-down back. Similar to last season, Lacy started out extremely slow but has picked it up in the second half of the season. James Starks, while Lacy was struggling, played well. With Eddie Lacy's recent success, many owners will drop Starks to waivers. This is a great time to pick up James Starks. If Lacy starts struggling again or gets injured, Starks would be the only back for Green Bay; he'd be a low-end RB1 in standard but a top 10 RB1 in PPR. Only owned in 64% of leagues, Starks' availability will increase this week, due to owners' frustration with the Packers' unpredictable backfield. Starks is a must-add for all Lacy owners. Possibly loosing some playing time to Lacy against the Lions, I'd stay away from Starks in Daily; his price is $4,500.
Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs, is one of the most talented handcuffs in the NFL. The Chiefs lost their star back, Jamaal Charles, in week 5 to a season-ending, torn-ACL injury. Chacandrick West stepped into the starting role and shined. He instantly became a top 5 running back in fantasy; rushing for 259 yards on 86 carries and recorded 3 TDs. In week 11, West went down early with a hamstring injury and sat out the rest of the game. Spencer Ware stepped in and performed in the Chiefs' backfield. The Chiefs have proven time and time again that they are a run-dominate team. In week 12, Ware put up top tier fantasy stats. The former 3rd string RB has become a dominating running back. With Ware's price at $4,900 and West's price at $5,200 in DFS, keeping in mind that we don't know who will lead the carries in Kansas City. Looking ahead, we don't know if Ware or West will start for the Chiefs. Many say that the touches will be split among the backs, similar to the Bears' backfield. In a season full of injuries, both Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware are must-owned in all leagues. If either back gets injured or slows down production, the other will be a top tier, fantasy running back.
Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals, is another running back that's apart of a one-two punch backfield. The Cincinnati Bengals began the season with high hopes in Jeremy Hill to be their star running back. Those plans quickly failed when Hill's struggles began in the early weeks. Because of Hill's struggles, he split time with Giovani Bernard. Entering into week 13, we still don't have a lead back in Cincy. It can be very frustrating for fantasy owners; we don't know which back to start each week. This past week against the Rams, Jeremy Hill looked a little banged up and seemed to be playing through some minor injuries. Going forward, Bernard is a another one of those halfbacks that could blow up in the weeks to come, if Hill were to miss some time. Owned in 92% of leagues, Gio is still available in a few leagues but could be more available after waivers his week, due to some owners forced to create room for some injury fill-ins at tight end, wideout, and QB. Priced at $4,500, Gio Bernard could be an interesting play in Daily as a FLEX with upside option.
In order to save some time, here are some quick names of other backs that could increase in performance: Jay Ajayi (Miami Dolphins) - Looks to increase playing time toward the end of this season. 17% owned, Ajayi is widely available and should be owned by all Lamar Miller owners. Jay Ajayi would be a very smart pickup in Dynasty and deep Keeper Leagues; you might be looking at the future of the Dolphins offense. Ajayi is an interesting FLEX option in DFS with a price of $3,000. Thomas Rawls (Seattle Seahawks) - A non-factor when Marshawn Lynch was healthy, Thomas Rawls struggled to get touches in a backfield that was owned by BeastMode. Since Lynch's serious injury in week 11, Rawls has completely taken over the fantasy world. His stellar performance has jolted him into the top tier of running backs in the NFL. Unsure whether or not the Seahawks will resign Lynch for next year, Rawls has the talent to be the future of the Seattle backfield. 86% owned, Rawls is a smart pickup for all leagues (standard, keeper, dynasty, daily). Priced at $5,400 in DFS, Rawls is still cheap for an RB1. Charles Sims (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - An after-thought in Tampa Bay during the preseason, Sims wasn't highly drafted at the beginning of the season. With everyone betting on Doug Martin, Sims was barely owned in many standard leagues. After a few weeks of low production, Martin soon split the touches with Charles Sims. Not long after, Sims became a big part of the passing game in Tampa Bay, which increased his value in many PPR leagues. Looking forward, the Bucs' schedule seems favorable for the pass-catching back. Also, in a young and improving offense, Charles Sims is more likely to be the starting back for Tampa Bay over the older, more expensive Doug Martin. Owned in 30% of leagues, Sims could be a valuable pickup for the rest of this season and the seasons to come. Priced at $3,500 this week, Sims is priced as an RB3/FLEX; with a likable matchup against Atlanta's struggling defense, he has more upside this week than any previous.
There you have it, my Who To Watch for week 13. I know it was a little different than my previous weeks, but there is much to talk about this week. It's very important for owners to take this week seriously. Fantasy owners need to carefully make decisions to prepare for the playoffs and for the 2016 football season. From this week on, owners will be adding and dropping players like crazy in order to fix their rosters for their weekly matchups. No matter if you're in the playoffs or not, it's vital for your fantasy team to continue to watch the transactions page, study the matchups, rank the players, take part in the weekly waiver wire frenzy, and prepare then play your lineup. Not only is it important for your league, but it is important for you as a fantasy player.

Who Else To Watch in Wk 13

Jay Cutler (CHI • QB) - Last week against a strong Packers team and in a hostile, rival-driven Lambeau Field, Jay Cutler led his Bears to sloppy victory. Throwing 19/31 for 200 yards and 1 touchdown, Cutler had just another average performance. Although he's had two average fantasy weeks in a row, Jay Cutler's fantasy value seems to be increasing as a weekly QB streamer. With the number of times the Bears are making him throw, the value of Alshon Jeffery, Jeremy Langford, and Zach Miller go up, as well. Looking ahead, Cutler and the Bears have a favorable schedule, leading right into the fantasy playoffs. 43% owned, Jay Cutler goes up against a horrible 49ers defense, which makes the Bears' QB solid streaming option for week 13. Priced at $5,100 in DFS, Cutler has the makings of being a smart, strategic start at QB.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (NYJ • QB) - Last week against the Miami Dolphins, Ryan FitzMagic completed 22 of 27 targets for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns. In an offense that's playing well together, Jets' HC, Chan Gailey, says he's sticking with Fitzpatrick as his QB. Which is a smart move when your only other option is Geno Smith. I believe he's a smart guy, an average NFL quarterback, and one of the luckiest QBs in the league to have such a talented offense. With the help of Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Chris Ivory, and the Jets' D, Ryan Fitzpatrick will be able to perform steadily this week against their "Big Apple" rival, the New York Giants. Only 23% owned, Fitzpatrick is widely available for a weekly streamer to help replace injured QBs, like Romo or Taylor. If you're not ready to believe in the Broncos' Brock Osweiler, go with Ryan Fitzpatrick off waivers this week. Priced at $5,200, I'm staying away from him this week in Daily.

Jameis Winston (TB • QB) - With the help of two outstanding wideouts in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have found their franchise quarterback. Jameis Winston has developed into a sound QB in the NFL. With his offensive weapons all healthy, look for Winston to finish the season as a top tier fantasy quarterback. Only 43% owned, Winston is a guy I like over these QBs: Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, Eli Manning. I've got him ranked as my number 5 QB going up against a shaken up Atlanta defense. Priced at $5,300, I like Winston as a great start in Daily.

Theo Riddick (DET • RB) - Known for being a PPR monster, Theo Riddick is now the only safe bet in the Detroit backfield. Taking more snaps away from Ameer Abdulah, Riddick is the only back that's producing. Going up against a defense in Green Bay that's strong against the run but struggles against the pass out of the backfield, look for Theo to get a lot of work in TNF. Owned in 24% of leagues, Theo Riddick is still available to be picked up. In a league that's dependent on steady production, Theo Riddick has a safe floor. With a price of $3,500 in Daily, Theo could make an interesting FLEX option.

Carlos Hyde (SF • RB) - Allow me to say what everyone already knows, the San Francisco 49ers have no idea who they are offensively. With no Kapernick, no defensive stability, no deep threat, and a coach that seems non-existent, the 49ers have no identity. And what happens when an offense has no idea who they are? They run the ball over and over again, until they get close enough to kick a field goal. So I ask you (the fantasy owners), who are the most important players on San Fran's team? It's simple; it's the kicker and every running back that they have. Carlos Hyde seems to have been overlooked these past few weeks. Because of a foot injury, he was dropped in over 30% of standard leagues (67% owned); Shaun Draughn is owned in 29% of leagues. While Hyde should be getting all the carries, Draughn will be used more in the passing game. Shaun Draughn has become a great FLEX play in PPR scoring; Carlos Hyde will be a top 15 RB ROS. Priced at $3,800 this week against Chicago, Hyde is a good start as a RB2 in Daily.

Marvin Jones (CIN • WR) - Last week against the St. Louis Rams, Andy Dalton targeted Marvin Jones 5 times; they connect 3 times for 25 yards; in fact, he was given the opportunity in the run game with a trick play that he rushed for 30 yards. Moving up in his role as a No. 2 wideout for Cincinnati, Jones has been improving his game more and more. Looking for a WR3 this week? Check your waiver wire. Only 53% owned, Marvin Jones has a great matchup against the Cleveland Browns this week. Looking forward, Marvin Jones is a great WR3 option for ROS. Priced at $3,80" in DFS, Marvin Jones is a cheap wideout with a ton of upside.

Ty Montgomery (GB • WR) - In an offense that's been struggling at wide receiver, HC Mike McCarthy was clearly upset with his receivers last week. The loss of Jordy Nelson, at the beginning of the year, has impacted the Packers' offense worse than expected. Randall Cobb has not been able to perform as the No. 1 WR; James Jones played well at first but has shown his age late in the season; and the most irritating performance has been from DeVonte Adams, who has been non-existent. After a disappointing loss at home against their rival on Thanksgiving Day, I believe that the Packers know that it's time to mix it up. Only owned in 2% of standard leagues, I expect rookie wideout, Ty Montgomery, to be the new favorite target for Aaron Rodgers. Look for Rodgers to force the long ball to Montgomery this Thursday against the Lions. With a low DFS price at $3,000, the rookie wideout is one of my favorite starts in Daily for this week.

Seth Roberts (OAK • WR) - With it being this late in the fantasy season, I don't expect many owners to take a chance on a young receiver. However, if you are in a dynasty league or are looking for a sneaky WR (boom-or-bust, secret weapon) that could help you win the championship, Seth Roberts is your guy. He has quickly become one of Derek Carr's go-to target, alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Last week against the Tennessee Titans, Roberts had 6 receptions of 7 targets for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coming off a great performance last week, Roberts is only 1% owned. Going up against the Kansas City Chiefs this week, I expect Carr to continue to target the young receiver, while a top 5 Chiefs' secondary focuses on Cooper and Crabtree. Priced at $3,600, Seth Roberts is a great play in Daily.

Vance McDonald (SF • TE) - Tight ends that can score every week are rare, Vance McDonald has become one of those TEs. He's been in the top tier of tight ends for the past few weeks. Still not owned at all in the fantasy world, I expect that to change this week after the waiver wire. Priced at $3,000, McDonald is a solid play at TE this week against the Chicago Bears. Coming off a big injury week for tight ends, McDonald is a great pickup.

Zach Miller (CHI • TE) - To go along with Vance McDonald as a injury week fill-in at TE, Zach Miller is another great pickup. Becoming one of my favorite Daily starts (Priced at $3,100 this week against the 49ers), Zach Miller has put up solid fantasy points since week 9. Last week, even with Forte's return, Cutler continued to target Miller. He had 2 receptions of 7 targets for 10 yards and had a touchdown. What makes Miller such a good start is that he's gotten 4 TDs in his last 5 games. Only 20% owned, Zach Miller is one of the best week 13 fill-ins for Gronk owners.

Scott Chandler (NE • TE) - At 7% owned, Scott Chandler is going to be the highest added player at the end of this week's waiver wire. When dealing with Rob Gronkowski's injury, the Patriots will be shady, secretive, and untruthful. No one will know the time-frame of his absence. With this uncertainty, Gronk owners need to make other arrangements. Scott Chandler will be stepping in as New England's TE against the Eagles this week. When Gronk went down last week, Chandler stepped up his game and had a decent, fantasy game. Knowing that Brady's not afraid to use the backup TE, Chandler moves to a top 5 tight end this week. Priced at $2,500, Scott Chandler is a cheap TE that will have a monster week in Gronk's absence.

Wk 12- Who To Watch: Thomas Rawls

       Who To Watch: Thomas Rawls
     (Seattle Seahawks, Running Back)
                       Week 12

In a season full of injuries, running backs have become the position that's most injury prone. Through 11 weeks, we have seen these at least one running back on every team go down with some type of injury. With the season-ending injuries of Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster, Le'Veon Bell, and Justin Forsett, many backups have been forced into the starting role. Some of these backup RBs have performed extremely well earlier this season when called to action, like: DeAngelo Williams, Charcandrick West, Javorius "Buck" Allen, and Jeremy Langford. One of the most successful running backs from week 11 is my Who To Watch for week 12, Thomas Rawls.
Thomas Rawls started his college career at the University of Michigan and ended his college career at the University of Central Michigan. He was named on the 2014 Second-Team All-MAC. Suspended for two game due to being charged with 3 felonies and missed a lot of time at the end of his college career due to a knee injury. Entering into the 2015 NFL Draft, Rawls was projected to be a late round pick. He ran a 4.42 second 40-yard dash; his strengths were in his size, good hands, ball security, quick feet, and blocking ability. He was known for being a great power back. Rawls went undrafted in the 2015 draft, which was mainly because of his off the field issues.
Although he went undrafted, Rawls found a home in Seattle. The Seahawks entered into the NFL Preseason games with Marshawn Lynch as their No. 1 and three guys battling for the No. 2 spot. These guys were Christine Michael, Robert Turbin, and Thomas Rawls. The Seahawks, over time, ended up parting ways with Turbin and Michael, turning their attention to Rawls as Lynch's backup. This made Rawls a very good handcuff for Marshawn Lynch in many fantasy leagues. Through 10 weeks, Rawls had 125 carries for 395 yards and one touchdown.
In the game of fantasy football, we are entering into the later half of the season. Some fantasy owners are sitting comfortable at the top of their league. Many of us are preparing for that playoff push, while some are hoping for a miracle. In a game that causes unpredictable injuries, we must prepare our team for the worst. By studying the waiver wire, the weekly injury report, and the individual players' updates, we can be ready to add/drop, start/sit at a moments notice. In week 11, Marshawn Lynch was updated right before kickoff to the inactive list against the 49ers, which put all the spotlight on backup running back, Thomas Rawls.
Only a few of us were able to pickup Thomas Rawls before his game against the 49ers in week 11. He had 30 carries for 209 yards and one touchdown in the matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Playing better than Lynch in many areas of his game, Rawls is a very popular halfback for his week 12 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seattle halfback is only owned in 32% of leagues, entering into the week 12 waiver wire. He's one of the hottest running backs for this week. With Lynch possibly having surgery, Rawls will be the No. 1 back in Seattle for the rest of the regular season. The Seahawks have ran the ball on 60% of their plays, which is second in the league this season. Priced at $4,500 in DFS, Thomas Rawls is a cheap RB1 for week 12.

Who Else To Watch in Week 12

Ryan Fitzpatrick (NYJ • QB) - Even with a broken hand, Ryan Fitzpatrick has been playing well for the Jets. Between Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, Fitzpatrick has continued to throw for a high completion percentage at 58% through 10 weeks. Entering into the Jets' week 12 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, "FitzMagic" is only owned in 25% of leagues. He's not a bad streaming option against Miami this week, in a league where solid QBs have become slim. Priced at $5,000, Ryan Fitzpatrick is an above average starting option at QB in Daily.

Brian Hoyer (HOU • QB) - Still needing to pass the NFL's Concussion Protocol, Hoyer has a great matchup against the New Orleans Saints this week. Hoyer has been playing well, scoring over 17 fantasy points in a 5 game stretch when he was fully healthy. The Texans' offense is clicking on all cylinders entering the later half of the season; with a healthy core of wide receivers (DeAndre Hopkins, Nate Washington, & Cecil Shorts III) and a steadily rotation of halfbacks (Alfred Blue, Chris Polk, & Jonathan Grimes), Brian Hoyer has the weapons to completely dominate a horrible Saints defense. Only 12% owned, Hoyer is a great streaming option this week. Priced at $5,000 in DFS, the Texans' QB is going to have a high start percentage in Daily lineups.

Jameis Winston (TB • QB) - In a season where QBs are dropping like flies, Winston has become a top 10 QB in fantasy. With the return of Vincent Jackson, Winston has been able to spread out his targets. Both Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson are top fantasy wideouts for the rest of season. Along with Doug Martin's strong performances and Charles Sims' ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, the former No. 1 Overall Draft Pick will be able to continue his dominate performance. Going up against a depleted Colts' D, Winston is only 24% owned. Priced at $5,500, Jameis Winston is an affordable option to start at QB if you want to spend more on other positions in your Daily lineup.

Spencer Ware (KC • RB) - Unsure about the severity of Chacandrick West's injury, the Chiefs could be forced to move on to their third running back of the season. West has been playing lights out as the starter, ever since Jamaal Charles' season-ending injury. I don't see the Chiefs completely moving on to Ware for the rest of season, if West has to sit out a week. But Spencer Ware played very well last week when West went down with a hamstring injury; he ran for 96 yards, 2 TDs on only 11 carries against the San Diego Chargers. Ware is only owned in 7% of leagues; he will be one of the top 3 waiver wire pickups this week. Priced cheaply at $3,800 in DFS, Spencer Ware is a perfect start against Buffalo this week.

Javorius "Buck" Allen (BAL • RB) - With Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett's season-ending injuries, the Baltimore Ravens look to Buck Allen to lead their backfield for the rest of the season. Especially with the injury to Flacco, the Ravens will be forced to run the ball a ton. Barely owned at 12%, Allen is a hot, waiver wire pickup this week. Unlike Spencer Ware, who might only start one week because of West's possible return, Buck Allen is the Ravens' unquestionable starter. So while the rest of your league puts Spencer Ware as their No. 1 waiver claim, I would advise you to go after Buck Allen. Going up against the Cleveland Browns in MNF, Allen is priced at $4,600 in Daily.

Tevin Coleman (ATL • RB) - With DeVanta Freeman's concussion, the Falcons' week 1 starter will get his chance to reclaim the backfield. Tevin Coleman was the lead back at the beginning of this season, but after he got hurt, Freeman ran away with opportunity. Going up against the Minnesota Vikings, Coleman will have to prove himself against a tough defense. Only owned in 27% of leagues, Coleman should have been owned by every Freeman owner. On the waiver wire this week, look to see how high the Freeman owner is ranked and choose your waiver claim carefully. Obviously owners of DeVanta are freaking out, so ignore the one week starter (Tevin Coleman) and claim a ROS starter, like: Thomas Rawls or Buck Allen. Priced at $4,300, Tevin Coleman could be a cheaper option at running back. If Freeman remains out due to the NFL's Concussion Protocol, then Coleman could be a Boom-or-Bust RB2 for week 12.

Shaun Draughn (SF • RB) - With Carlos Hyde's foot injury sidelining him for multiple weeks, the 49ers have turned to Shaun Draughn to ignite their poor offense. Week after week, the San Francisco 49ers have been unable to get their offense going. During this season, the 49ers offense has gone through many changes. They benched Collin Kapernick and started Blaine Gabbert at QB; they lost running back, Reggie Bush, to a season-ending injury; they have been depending on the performance of injured players, like: Carlos Hyde, Anquan Boldin, and Torrey Smith; and now, they have lost Carlos Hyde to a major injury and are forced to start Shaun Draughn. Only owned in 17% of leagues, Draughn is widely available in many leagues. Likely to be the starter in an offense that needs to rely on someone healthy, Draughn is a smart pickup during this week's waiver wire. Going up against the Arizona Cardinals this week, Draughn is only priced at $3,800 in DFS.

Terrance Williams (DAL • WR) - With Dez Bryant and Tony Romo returning from injury, Terrance Williams has become a valuable, fantasy wideout once again. When Dez was out, Williams was constantly shadowed and double-covered. While Romo was out with a broken clavicle, Terrance was unable to perform with Brandon Weedon and Matt Cassell as his quarterback. Now that both Dez and Romo are playing, Williams will perform well again. Showing his worth last week against the Miami Dolphins, Romo threw touchdowns to Dez and Terrance. Only owned in 41% of leagues, Terrance Williams is a great add for any team that's hurting at WR. Priced at $4,200 in Daily Fantasy, Williams could be a good start as a WR3 with upside against the Carolina Panthers this week on Thanksgiving Day.

Ted Ginn Jr. (CAR • WR) - As one of Cam Newton's two receivers, Ted Ginn Jr. has proven himself as a productive, fantasy wideout. Going into the later part of the season, defenses are focusing their coverage on Greg Olsen, Newton's favorite target. Because of the lopsided coverage, Ginn has been able to get open more. In fact, this has given Cam Newton the opportunity to break away and run more. Going up against a struggling defense in Dallas, look for Ted Ginn Jr. to stack up the his targets. Only 38% owned, the only Panthers' No. 1 wideout is still available and is a great pickup for any team that needs a depth at WR. Priced at $3,700, Ted Ginn Jr. could be a solid start at wide receiver in Daily.

Marquess Wilson (CHI • WR) - With the recent injury to Alshon Jeffery, Jay Cutler has found two new receivers to target, Zach Miller (TE) and Marquess Wilson (WR). Depending on if Jeffery is healthy or not this week, Wilson will either be the No. 1 or 2 receiver for the Bears. Watch to see if Alshon practices this week or not, before making a decision on Marquess Wilson. Only 8% owned, Wilson is a boom-or-bust wideout each week. He would make a great pickup in deeper leagues. Although I'd stay away from him in Daily, Wilson is priced at $3,900 this week in the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Crocket Gillmore (BAL • TE) - In an offense that's been hit extremely hard by injury, Gillmore and Buck Allen stand alone as the only two offensive weapons for the Ravens. With Matt Schaub as the starting QB, now that Joe Flacco is out for the rest of the season, look for Crocket Gillmore to be targeted a ton. Going up against the Cleveland Browns in MNF this week, Gillmore will be a Boom-or-Bust tight end each week for the remainder of the season. If he's targeted a lot this week, then look for him to continue that production. If he doesn't get the targets this week, then consider him a bust ROS. At 22% owned, Crocket Gillmore could be a smart stash if you have the room, but remember that this week will dictate his production for the weeks to come. I'm also staying away from him in DFS, as he is priced at $4,800.

Colby Fleener (IND • TE) - A non-factor in the offensive game plan while Andrew Luck was quarterback, Colby Fleener has become one of Matt Hasselbeck's go-to targets. I'm an offense that has a ton of weapons, the Indianapolis Colts have continued to struggle throughout the year. Look for the Colts to change things up with Hasselbeck at the helm; also, look for Hasselbeck to target his tight ends, Colby Fleener and Dwayne Allen, more this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They will want to turn things around quickly as the end of the season nears. Only owned in 18% owned, Fleener has the opportunity to finish in the top 10 of tight ends in fantasy. Priced at $3,000 in DFS, Colby Fleener is a tempting start as a Boom-or-Bust tight end.
